Its a fact that the American food industry uses over 100 times as much antiobiotics per pound of meat produced as they do here in Norway. They also use tons of anabolic steroids to beef up the animals. Those are hormones. Pesticides ? Dont want to think about it. If I had been living in the US I would have eaten organically grown food and nothing else.

What is a choice ? Is it turning an off/on switch. Is it going "I havent really thought about it before but I would really like to be or become a homosexual" ? That is silly. The "choice" involved may rather amount to failing to deal with a number of issues over a long period of time, some of them fairly subtle and then, in time, those attractions develop into something substantial. Some of it may amount to a failure in parental guidance and supervision at a time when the child is incapable of relating to these things in a meaningful manner. Then it develops fully much later.
Im discussing the extreme case here. The other end of the spectrum is where people just decide to try something new and then they grew fond of it. It isnt politically correct to admit that these days and much easier to claim "born this way" but that is probably far more common. Maybe not among people born into conservative christian families but in general. I think there are liars among those too, people who are just carnal and try hard to make room and acceptance for their favorite lust.
