Morgan Freeman and The Story of God
http://www.christianpost.com/news/mo...ligion-163592/
"What we came away with at the end of the series is the fact that all religions and beliefs share remarkable similarities, these commonalities. There they are, so we should celebrate them rather than let them cause rifts between us," Freeman told Entertainment Weekly in an article on Sunday.
After watching this I felt that Morgan enjoyed seeing there were many ways that people 'find' God. IMO he doesn't want Christ to be the only way because he has to repent of his sins. He can live anyway he chooses and just have a mental assent and he will be 'right' with God

When I saw the trailers for this show, I knew they'd come to the "All paths lead to God" conclusion...
Which is why I didn't even bother to watch it - Plus, I'm not a fan of the Ultra Politically Correct Morgan Freeman.

I have an atheist friend who's asked me to watch it.
I may just so we can talk about it.

Sounds like a good way to open a door to the gospel with your friend!

we've had a bit of a running convo for years and years.. this is the first concrete thing she's been open to.
I'm not particularly keen on watching it though.. I know I'm going to be frustrated and angry by the time I'm through.. LOL!

I think it would be a good opportunity to bring up what Jesus says about being the way, the truth and the life, and no man coming to the Father but by him, and Acts saying there is no other name under heaven a person can be saved by, in light of the 'all roads lead to God' view.
