@@@I never said that you said anything about whole congregations.

I have no problem with accepting that there are false anointings at work outside the church and can occur inside.

It hasn't affected me in praying and believing for the miraculous and to see great things occur.
I have prayed for thousands of people over my time in ministry and seen wonderful things happen.

I don't know why believers get offended because I believe false anointings can occur.

    @@@I didn't get offended.

This has absolutely nothing to do with cessationism or non charismatic people who write books and slam charismatic practises.

@@@I don't think your view has but there is a common theme that is worth discussing in terms of what is possible (your version) and what isn't possible (MacArthur etc). The difference has become quite clear in this discussion, apart from your imagining that I am attacking you personally or insisting that (you specifically) believe something that you don't.

It is what it is....my reply would be....start operating in the discerning of Spirits so you know the difference

@@@I've seen pretty much a whole congregation operate in a carnal mimicking of a spiritual phenomena and that gift showed me the heart of some of the people who were involving themselves in that. There was a common theme to it but it wasn't demonic. Maybe over time a congregation might grow sufficiently carnal to tilt over into the demonic but then I'd question how much faith there is left among them at the same time. Like Catholics gone Charismatics and then they suddenly become more Marian than they ever were before. What happened there ??

We often "soak" a person who has come for healing prayer and falls out before healing actually manifests ... meaning 2 or 3 people will sit with them, lay hands on them, release the Kingdom into them ... sometimes they begin to manifest and the demon is cast out.

    DISCERNMENT.

That's good Kay....we always need to stay open to the Spirit

I have to be careful here so hope people understand....even experienced ministers who operate in the anointing are in some areas quite undiscerning
As long as they get some sort of 'outward manifestation' they think they have hit the mark but many go home exactly the same way they came into the meeting

The above experience happened to me when I was ministering in Brazil in 2001. I learn alot when ministering and speaking to believers in other nations.
Traveling and ministering in 3rd world places you get to see things that most western believers just plainly reject

During my most powerful encounter with God in 2011 I was totally calm throughout. The whole thing hurt more at the emotional level than anything I have ever experienced in any way during my entire life (and I couldn't have cared less). And it lasted 7 hours. I was probably close to dying physically because of the holiness manifesting through that glory cloud and I trusted God to keep me alive, just like I did when I encountered him in 1993. So my attitude is that people should not try to manifest anything outwardly unless it is natural to them, it is never an indicator of the power or fruit of what is going on and it can be contagious, meaning that other people may join in on the outward manifestation and in their case even less is going on than in the one they are mimicking. Hysteria may even follow, based on very little.

    Sounds awesome
Were you aware that God was preparing you for something like this to happen or did it surprise you. Were you at home seeking God or doing everyday things

In a sense it tied in with something God showed me when I was about 9 years old, before I became a Christian. In my heart I had sought what he showed me for 30 years. Yes, I knew at some point that something like that would happen and I prepared myself. But it was far more casual than when I sought him in 1993, including in the aftermath. Having had previous experience with that sort of encounter made a huge difference. I don't know if God will ever try to top that again during my lifetime, that would surprise me a great deal. I have a feeling that he is bringing stuff that is similar more into my daily life. Those glory clouds have showed up more frequently though less powerfully and for only a few minutes at a time. I have a feeling they might show up when ministering to other people in the future. As an example.
