What an interesting design! There are some great patterns on that site. I always go back to stitching, I think it is my favorite hobby.

I have done cross stitch and embroidery and crochet and all that but knitting is easiest and my favorite.
Warm weather is back. The eastern side of the state is still in desperate need of more rain as the fires continue to burn. Do remember to pray for them.
Got myself a Sansa Clip Jam mp3 player so that I would be able to sit and listen to the soaking cd's whenever I wanted. it is mostly loaded now and charging. woo hoo.
Good Evening Ladies! I'll join you here on the porch - tonight I will surely need a jacket.
Our church hosted the Beth Moore Simulcast today. Goodness, it was exhausting to attend all day, even though it was just simulcast. She is such a good speaker! I had asked another lady to go ( one who is in an abusive situation), but she couldn't go (actually, husband wouldn't allow her to go). It made me sad, because I sat there the whole time thinking how the message Beth gave could have been such an encouragement to her. So many times I just don't know how to pray for here - I mean should I pray for her to get out of the situation or for him to change? It doesn't seem like either is going to happen. She's the true abused woman syndrome, she goes right back to him, you know "he said he's sorry", "he won't do it again" etc. He went forward & accepted Christ on Easter, but it doesn't appear to be a true change of heart & no one in their church has done anything to disciple him.
Anyway, I've had so much going on I haven't gotten back to working on my stockings. I used to do cross stitch, but I have so much trouble with my right eye now that I'm sure I would not be able to do anything like that any more.
Well, you Ladies you a good evening and a blessed Lord's day tomorrow. :godisgood:
Well NS when the right person comes along it will sell. Maybe Fuego wants to buy it? huh?:D:Tempted:
Ordered myself a new kindle fire. Mine is getting to where it will be needing replacement soon. It was a replacement(refurbished) fer one that I toasted by using a low charge charger too often. So it has had miles on it before I ever got. it. Time to put my kindle keyboard that no longer holds a charge more than one day even when not used(it's old like me) to bed finally. I replaced that with a kindle paperwhite which is da bomb. It is a dedicated reader. and the best thing since sliced bread. And now the FireHD which is about 4 years old needs the same. sniff moan. The new firehd is citron yellow. it was between that color or magenta. yellow it is . woo hoo.
We have prayer chat for the forum starting in about an hour and a half today. 6p, 8c,9e. do come every tuesday if you can.
Blessed Sunday, everyone! I was up before sunrise today. I'm going to speak in the morning service at church and as I was lying there waiting for the right time to get up I had so many new thoughts from the Lord that at last I got up and took down notes for a new sermon. I really look forward to sharing.
When we got home from a long flight and a lot of queuing and waiting yesteday I wasn't feeling too good at the thought of today's service, but God is so good! He leads us to still waters and restores our souls. Thank you, Father!
We have been to Greece again, to the the island of Crete this time. We could tell the Greeks are having a hard time when it comes to finances. The prices were up A LOT from last year. But when that's been said, the Greek is my absolute favorite people of all nations in Europe. Not that I have been to all European countries, but quite some. Very friendly, makes us feel so welcome. Actually my favorite island is Kos, but I'm glad we didn't since things are chaotic over there with thousands of refugees coming over from Syria via Turkey.
Glad you're back Peace!!
Thank you, Listasan.
Today I really need an extra dose of inspiration. I have been challenged to have an inspirational talk at a national ALS conference later in October and really need to start preparing. ALS as in Lou Gehrig's disease. Plus I really, really need to get some exercise program started since the island of Crete and all the delicious late suppers left me with some extra pounds.
As some of you know we have this program in a slum village in Nairobi, Kenya (Lifeline centre With kindergarden, pre-School and 1st-4th grade of elementary School), financed by my calendars and greeting cards. Well, this year I have skipped my annual co-operation with elementary schools selling calendars for this special purpose, both because the last years' sales have been no good and because I need to have surgery in my shoulders - it will happen later in the fall. In addition to that Daniel who is the manager of Lifeline told me the prices have gone up so much that he had to spend what was set aside for first term of 2016 already now to keep things running through 2015. Well, I have prayed and asked the Lord for extra income and I'm seeing answers to prayer every day. It is so exciting! Praise Him!
I'm not just saying this....You are truly an inspiration to me. I would love to go over with you to Kenya with my oldest sometime.
Yes Peace you are always amazing to me as well
