I would love to get LCash's take on this. If you go to the Youtube video, some of the comments indicate that this is not such a big deal.

That's interesting...I didn't read the comments but the story seems unusual.

Susan, I meant to try and check on LCash because of the flooding in Houston. I'll send him a PM.

So what happened? I watched about a minute and nothing happened and then kinda scrolled through it. Nothing ever happened did it?

It was a time lapse so it looked like "old faithful" was going off continuously and the ground kept brightening without a light source. I don't know if it means anything, it just looked intense.

Ah...didn't see the link. I just thought that's what geysers are supposed to do. :)

The article has a link to a story about a river there that started to boil:

...The boiling of the Shoshone River for four days in March wasn't the only recent geothermal event in the river to pique the attention of geologists. Recent activity in and around the area of the river near Yellowstone has reportedly released enough hydrogen sulfide into the water to create a dead zone spanning one and a half miles. The stretch of river is now completely devoid of fish due to what Burkhardt referred to as a "chemical barrier," which is blocking fish from entering.

Some believe this to be a very bad sign.

For now, the boiling in the river near Yellowstone has ceased. However, earthquake activity in and around the Yellowstone supervolcano is reportedly increasing...
