WORSHIP TECHNOLOGY - losing all the paper
I wasn't sure where to post this, admins ... if there's a better place, feel free to move it!
I'm looking for a technological solution for the church, so that the worship musicians can ditch all of the paper (and more specifically, MAINTENANCE of all that paper) for song sheets.
Considering things like a projector - perhaps with iPad control by the worship leader - or tablets on every music stand, also controlled by the worship leader - and very open to other alternatives.
Who can advise?

why not just use iPads/tablets, and not worry about the worship leader controlling the music? The singer/musician can "flip" the pages for themselves.

We actually that several years ago when I was playing with the worship group. It was a monitor for every musician, and the worship leader controlled it. Whenever he changed songs he would change his and it changed ours. I have not idea who made the equipment though.

Later on when we quit using what I said above for reasons I can't remember, that's what I personally did. I just set my Macbook Pro on the Hammond B3 and kept my music on there. Now that I have an iPad if I still played I would just use that. When I taught I moved all my notes to the iPad and used that to teach from and even used the Bible on it. Complete paperless teaching. :)

I like the people singing with me to have the flexibility to go back and sing whatever they feel led to sing. We're a small church....we don't have that big of a production deal. (oh...and we still use paper)
