There is not much substance to the book. Not much meat but mostly milk. At least he believes in tithing.

Tithers unite!
I'm sure there'll be another tithing thread somewhere in our future here lest Jesus tarry. ;)

I believe in tithing too. But I don't practice it, for obvious reasons.

What could be an obvious reason?

I'm not under the old covenant. If I had been then I would have payed 7 tithes every 3 years as the law of Moses prescribes.

As a New Covenant Christian, I understand from the word that the tithe is a pre-law matter, and so I pay God His tenth according to His desire for me to do so.

God blessed the use of mandrakes as fertility treatment prior to the law though he hadn't commanded anyone to do so. God didn't ever command anyone to tithe prior to the law and there is no record of him blessing someone based on their tithing either. So there is more grounds for teaching Christians to use mandrakes based on that principle.

Jesus did not give NT approval of mandrakes but he did Tithing. On that basis alone, I will continue to tithe. It is a great blessing to tithe and give unto the Lord!
Matt 22:23
Jesus words -- "These things should have been done without neglecting the others." This passage is not that difficult to understand in its present context. The mastery of elementary matters such as tithing is no excuse to ignore weightier issues. Nonetheless, it is obvious that Jesus believed and taught that tithing was a fundamental aspect of faith.

According to the same logic we are also required to cleanse the outside and inside of cups and dishes for ritual purposes :
Mat 23:25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence
26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.
We should also make our phylacteries and the borders of our garments the proper length, as the law of Moses also prescribes :
Mat 23:5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments
