When I was 50 a girlfriend and I went to visit another girlfriend. Her son opened the door, turned around and said: Mom, two elderly ladies are asking for you. We were the same age as his mom, but I don't think he reckoned SHE was "elderly", so I guess it has a lot to do with wether or not you know the person. There are several 90 YOs in our church and they seem much younger at heart than some 50-60 YOs I know.

Actually, I have come to terms with being called an elderly lady (at 67). I stopped dying my hair and I'm almost white.

My Mother's church has mostly people in their late 70's on up.

My Dad is 84, and we joke about him being "old" all the time.

I personally don't base that on age. My grandparents are in their 80's and were always so active and healthy that until my grandpa hurt his hip and started using a walker, I didn't really think of them as elderly although I suppose they have been lol I'm sure my view was different as a kid though and might be later as I get older. Either way, older people have always been special to me.

Good for you to see Deadpool btw! My dh saw it and wants me to but I don't handle seeing violence well lol

I honestly didn't think it was that violent.... The Deadpool character keeps a running dialogue going, so it brings humor to what's going on. I'm trying to think of where the violence was in the show and nothing stands out except where he's forced to mutate. But even that... I've seen much worse. I've seen some Tarantino movies and he's off the charts.

It's no worse than any of the other "comic book" movies.
