Can do but not your times.
Maybe when I was 17 and weighed nothing. Or almost.

We live in a fallen world. Yes, we can buffet our bodies into submission and make them fit if we want to or don't have any issues to keep that from happening, however, I do not think it is a spiritual victory to do so. It is a work of the flesh at best. I see that so much in the Charismatic world. These bodies are only our earthly tents.

I dont buffet my body. I love to run and to lift weights and it is something of a hobby that I do about three times a week.

Was there any sporting competition between ORU and Rhema since they were in the same city?
What about the students did any feel superior going to ORU or Rhema?

I have no problem with those who can and do desire to be fit. The thing I'm thinking about are those who teach the body needs to be perfected as well as the spirit. It eventually leads into the teaching that we don't have to die. Some even teach that we have failed God if we die.

I used to work with a bunch of Rhema students in a call center...I couldn't stand working there sometimes because they would gossip about certain other workers and generally act stuck up..I think the call center was owned by Rhema folks...not everyone was like that tho.

That wasn't taught at ORU, at least to my knowledge.

Rhema students aren't supposed to speak negatively

Yes, it would have been too far out for them, I'm sure.
