G-d according to a few groups. Jehovah according to others. The concept of adhering to a specific name and or a specific way has fostered a number of cults, historically.

When Jesus stood and read from the scroll Isaiah 61:1 would he have read that passage omitting what the translators clearly verify IS in the original script?

It says ...The Spirit of Adnoay Yehovih is upon me because the Yehovah has anointed me...
Then in Luke the word is kyrios. I understand that the transcripts available all contain kyrios, or at least that's what I read.

KB historically do you know when the Jews STOPPED pronouncing the name out loud? When the Jewish priest read from the scrolls did they omit the name even thought it was recorded?

That would certainly explain why the NT writings don't contain it although the OT did all the way through..so in the OT they did not stop writing His name?

I read somewhere that they did for fear the scroll would touch the ground but seems to me it's in the KJV all the way through..

So Jesus read the scroll and altered the name of God clearly written by the prophet Isaiah with a generic word for 'lord'?

Sorry Colonel, you don't know that for sure...I personally highly doubt Jesus read from the Jewish scrolls in Aramaic.

    So LUKE misquoted Jesus?

    Good scripture

To a son or daughter......Father and Daddy is more intimate than actually calling the person by their real name

You missed the point.....a son or daughter say Father or Dad as it reveals relationship and intimacy...do your children call you by your first name

If he gave his name in the OT then why are you trying to find it.....you can call him YHWH

I know that Jesus didn't speak Greek to his audiences. Luke translated whatever Jesus said into Greek and chose the Greek word kyrios which he shouldn't have done if the exact name for God in Hebrew was very important.
