Maybe...wonder what T.B. can add to the concept?

Sorry, would you believe that my excuse for being absent is that I actually have a real life outside of the internet? Nevermind...
YHVH? In written Hebrew it is not necessary to include the vowel sounds in the text because there are rules for where they belong and you would naturally pronounce the word correctly because of those rules anyway. This may be a clue that Hebrew was the only language before the tower of Babel. (Different topic, I know.)
The thing is, the rules don't fit this particular string of letters. They don't work. Some have added the vowels from Adonai to make a mishmash that they pronounce either Jehovah or Yaweh. Neither are correct. Colonel may be right when he gives it the definition of, "I am" but that isn't really clear either. The bottom line is that we don't really know the correct way to pronounce this name. The closest I could come to following the normal rules of pronunciation would be Yahoo. By the way, the religious person who gives us the YHVH would be Moses, the only one to speak directly to God and to receive revelation directly from God before the advent of Jesus.

I don't think that would go over well singing songs to Yahoo instead of Jehovah

Yahushua IS the restoration of our Father's name essentially isn't it?
Yahoo-shoo-wa
I understand that the Spirit has revealed the Father and the Son to us and we KNW Him intimately...but if I call my husband by a similar but different name even though I know him and am talking to him, might he not be thrilled about that? I wonder if YHVH feels the same way?
TB.I read that Israel began pronouncing the name and later decided it was to holy..that does not seem to be a decision GOD made but man?

If God had felt that way then he would not have revealed himself by several different names in the OT.

I will stick with the name of Jesus, it gets me immediate access to the throne of God the Father and that is the highest place

Taking what TB said as the creator's name being possibly pronounced 'yahoo' Jesus was yahooshooa..but I think the h is more of an exhaling sound than the way we say h...and the 'oo's could also be rendered a 'u'?
I don't think it's really that confusing...God only has one proper name...the question is, does He want to reveal it's correct pronunciation to us today?
I hope so..seems to me that as His child I should be able to speak His name...

Djizass in English.
Jesuss in Norwegian.
That's already confusing enough.
