Does God have a PROPER name?

And yes, the four corners may be properly understood as the completeness of God's authority over the earth.
Thank you..quick OFF topic question/observation. Our new friends also take strong issue with the translators translating OUT the 'name' of God. Just curious, from your perspective or others are you familiar with those taking issue with that? They note the scripture that says He will restore His name in the earth and believe this 'revelation' of God's name is coming in this 'generation'. Now I will say one perspective they take makes a lot of sense to me...that we are His and He is ours and knowing and using His name depicts intimacy..Not from a legalistic perspective but from the perspective of accuracy from love.

In that context is there a particular version that most accurately restores the names?

Has the actual pronunciation been 'lost' in the natural?

Below is the name of the Almighty written in Hebrew. It seems to be an accepted fact that the correct pronunciation of His name is “Yahweh”. This is apparently so because “most scholars” say that this pronunciation is correct. But what are the facts?

    YHWH

Do We Really Know the Pronunciation?

Proverbs 25:2 It is the honor of the Almighty to conceal a thing; But the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

Biblical Hebrew is a difficult subject for most of us. We therefore usually rely on research done by others, and trust that their conclusions are correct. When something is controversial, like the origin of the heavenly Father's name, most of us usually accept the conclusion of those scholars who are in the majority, without actually checking out their research for ourselves. Why is this? The reason seems to be that people are intimidated by the technical nature of ancient Hebrew. But, does this need to be the case? Let’s take a look at the facts surrounding the Heavenly Father’s Name…
In Strong's Concordance, it states that (YHWH), Hebrew 3068, comes from the verb root hyh (hayah), Hebrew 1961 [the verb “to be”]. That is impossible however, since the tetragrammaton would then be spelled *yhyh *(yhyh) instead of YHWH (YHWH). [*third person masculine singular imperfect form]

Maybe it needs it's own thread in Lovers of Israel..

This site also says that Jesus is not the correct transliteration..

God's name(s) are supposed to reflect his character so restoring the name of God in the Earth would mean that he rules, people follow him and there is heaven on Earth.

I agree with that..but I also know the Bible teaches that names matter...Not ALL His Biblical names depict a character trait..it is my understanding that He did have one specific name..

It means "I am" (as he referred to himself in Exodus 3), the self-existing one, the one with substance. It says a lot about him. The third person of this title, "he is" (as we would refer to him) makes up that name, "yahweh".

    I read that...take a look at this..

    http://www.yahweh.com/The-Name-Of-Yahweh.html

"As we will read from authoritative sources, there was a time when the Name Yahweh was pronounced by all of Yahweh's people, in prayers, in blessings, and in greetings. However, by the third century B.C.E., our teachers began teaching that Yahweh, the true Name of our Creator, was too holy to pronounce. This teaching is a practice that was not inspired by our Father, but one that gradually came about due to pagan influence."

IF this is true GOD never intended for His name to be lost...that is why some believe He wants His proper name restored.

I think that is a bunch of nonsense. More likely some religious people decided to mystify that particular name/title used in the Bible about God. Elohim seems to be an older name/title, used before God used the title corresponding to Yahweh about himself as he appeared to Moses in the burning bush.
