NYC Marathon organizers are sued over lottery to enter race


The organizers of the New York City Marathon have been sued by two runners who said the use of a lottery to decide who gets to race in the world's largest marathon is illegal.

Both plaintiffs said they paid to enter the marathon lottery and did not win.


OK, they reckon the lottery is illegal but enter it anyway and only sue because they don't win.


There isn't a word to describe them.

How do you sue a legal lottery because you don't win? Why isn't this just thrown out as frivolous and them sued for wasting the judicial system's time...
