Yippie! I made it home and winterized the travel trailer. It's ready to survive the freeze they are predicting in Missouri tonight. I may try to tuck it into it's winter home tomorrow. I probably would have done that today but the thought of backing it into another narrow space on the same day I managed to back it up next to the house was just too daunting.

I'm a last moment pinker. This year the pink went in a few days prior to temps dipping below 30. Looks like you were watching your temps closely, the sign of a true RVer.

I spent yesterday canning potatoes and cranberries and baking bread.
Today - relax from kitchen work, get a workout in, start putting up some Christmas decorations.

Putting lights on Stanley. He is a real hit with the weekend warriors that stay in the air bnb place. They stop and point with a big grin. I guess when you are 6ft tall frog playing a sax, that might get a few looks. Maybe I'll post a pic.
Meat processessing. Grabbed a couple pork butts from my brother's market (check out Lyal at Meat Monkey's Bulk Meat Sales on facebook), also a 10lb tube of 81/19 burger all going in the freezer. Snowy BBQ here we come!

Drying rosemary. I just saw this in the yard and completely forgotten about it. It hasn't been hit by frost, so here we go. There's enough to give away, too. I'll have to do a pork roast with fresh rosemary and garlic soon... or lamb.

Just got back from stocking our Church Food Pantry.
God has blessed us abundantly, and both of our refrigerators are jammed packed with (donated) food.
As high as food is these days, it's such a blessing to distribute several bags of meat, fruit and veggies to our members - Especially the elderly and families with a number of children.

Our tradition for a few years now is cooking a pork butt or two for our Christmas even dinner with the family and relatives. Can't remember exactly when I thought of it and started it. Slow cook it in the oven. They come to our house to eat on Christmas eve.

Oh man that sounds yummy. I've been slicing it up as "country ribs" and grilling though smoking some sounds good.
