Working at getting the camper ready for the summer. Water system sanitized, all propane fired systems checked (fridge, range, furnace, water heater) ready to go. Still need to adjust things with the new truck. Big holiday weekend coming up.

Attended a graveside service yesterday. For the last song we only had the music and the son wanted the words. So he found it on youtube and we tried to play it through the mike but it wasn't loud enough so the son sang along. It was heart wrenching.

    The song

Some background. The son said he's the only Christian in the family and they give him a hard time. He was with his dad when he dies and believes he was saved just before passing. Such moments make life worthwhile.

Joyfully enjoying the smalltown community here in Boyne. Watering in the newly seeded front lawn, hauling junk to the street for the annual city funded trash pick up, grandson is here for the weekend, getting wood cut for the Memorial Day family cookout. Being retired from the workforce keeps me busy.

Did you say you had moved from that place where you were always showing the snow and animal tracks, something in the front yard, etc? Maybe there was a lake in your pics too.

Yes, we moved back to home base after the 2 year mission at the troubled church. As cool as the wilds were, I could not wait to get back home. It's peaceful, beautiful and quaint here in town. Up there we had a lake in our front yard and here we have a big lake 300yds down the hill. Good memory, brother.

Wondering if it is going to be nice out like the weatherman said last night, instead of the wind and rain that is happening now. Doing yard work may not happen but instead, sewing some face masks for a friend who called me from Indiana and I offered.

After 47 years I left my Church, the one I was saved in.

It's been coming a while and I wrote letters of resignation 3 weeks ago, finally sending them Friday. This became necessary as I had to talk to one of the staff about something that I was going to do with him and not belonging any more could complicate things. That thing is delayed now anyway because of C-19 restrictions but it is good to have made the break formal.

I've no idea what happens next.

    You're allowed to laugh.

I was going to assist him with a wedding actually.
