AI doesn't exist, it's mimicry. They however do want us to be afraid of it, accept it and obey it.

Interesting. Why then are we hearing that people will lose their jobs over things that AI can do - such as writing computer programs, writing articles, etc. There is also talk that it can copy people's voices, creating pictures/videos that look and in the case of video, sound like a person.

I am interested to know more.

Horse and Buggies Operators Were replaced by Limos and Chauffeurs. Mechanical Elevator Operators were replaced by Digital Elevator Technicians. AI will kill jobs and transform industries no doubt but it will create new jobs and industries just like every technological advancement has done ..

AI is just another level of automation. All those Robots will need maintenance technicians and parts to operate .

You really need underlying skills to use "AI", so many wrong answers. So yes, it can write computer code but in many cases it is just not good code as it has been lifted from coding forums, books, etc. without any understanding of context or environment.

The publicly available ChatGPT stopped learning in 2021 so there's that.

At this point it can assist humans in getting to an answer quickly but it's not a replacement for humans. It can produce fake news so maybe we should watch for that but I'm pretty sure most of us are already on guard in that respect.

"AI" is also a big buzzword for CEOs of public companies, if they mention "AI" on corporate earnings calls, their stock can lift for a few minutes. They never mention that these are just programs programmed with copyrighted material, in other words, intellectual property theft.

I've had a few answers provided to me by ChatGTP that were written by me fifteen years ago, with minor edits.

Blowback will be coming as many have been ripped off.

Yes, that too but AI will primarily be used to create propaganda. It probably won't be very good propaganda though.

At the Shoreline Amphitheater, not far from Google's Mountain View, California, headquarters, CEO Sundar Pichai walked on stage to deliver the keynote speech kicking off Google I/O and was officially the first to say "AI" -- but he was far from the last. CNET tallied that Pichai and other presenters mentioned AI roughly 143 times over the two-hour presentation, for about 1.153 AI mentions per minute.

So, this AI issue is moving pretty fast, one of the key people involved with OpenAI was on Capital Hill last week calling FOR regulation. The purpose of regulation of course would be to keep others out of that space by erecting high barriers to entry, essentially they are asking for monopoly power and using fear mongering to foster the argument. So yes, they want you to be afraid, call for regulations, it feeds into their goals. Only a handful will control AI, that is what they want.

That is ... Altman, Sam (USA), CEO, OpenAI

So, what you're saying here is that you are a robot?
