Totally get it, and you're taking care of yourself. I'm just saying that diet culture sets people up for failure. I just came out of a nutrition class and found out that dieting at a young age (most who really didn't even need to) can change your metabolic set point permanently, meaning that if you lose 20 pounds, you have to eat 300-400 fewer calories than someone of the same weight and build and activity level that didn't diet, just to maintain. I've spent my entire life looking at myself through a lens that made me look fatter than I am, and I was constantly losing and gaining weight. Now, I'm focusing on eating for health and going to the gym for strength and walking for stress relief and aerobic activity. I'm just trying to change my mindset and not judge other people for what they look like.

Yes, I agree. Society puts a lot of pressure on women to look good and maintain a youthful appearance for life. It's unfair, but I think a lot of women are waking up. I was never meant to be a size 6, even though I'm only 5'3. The perfect weight for my body frame and muscular build is 145-160. With a BMI of 24.9-25.3
I remember a doctor telling me that my ideal weight is 129. Never saw him again after telling me that nonsense. What a quack!
