I was curious, so I watched it today on Demand (Comcast movies).
It was creepy and very thought provoking. The demon acknowledged that they made a serious mistake at the crucifixion of Christ (sealed their doom).
Pretty intense throughout the whole viewing. I wouldn't recommend it for children. The execution is not light to watch.
Surprise ending with Glen Beck closing out the picture.
Of coarse, it's Hollywood doing its best to portray demon possession. But I did find some of it more or less Scriptural. The condemned inmate did a marvelous job playing his character. I might add that the actor playing the physiatrist was also impressive.
I think I came away with an understanding that demons are aware of our past and present motives and activities in life.
If you are ever involved in deliverance, I would advise that all personal sin is confessed and under the blood of Jesus.
I knew this and watching this movie confirmed what I already knew. An unbeliever (sons of Sceva) or a liberal pastor or Chaplin (is in the movie) would have absolutely have no ground or authority to deal with a genuine demon possessed individual.
This is my review of Nefarious. I would recommend it for mature Christians only. You will be able to spit out the bones and glean some of the activities that the kingdom of darkness operates in. The movie is just that. It's definitely not a deliverance manual and there are no scenes of exorcism.
