I like to cook, many think that is a woman's job (not me). However most professional chefs are male, although that is changing.
I do the grocery shopping much of the time.
I am like scottae. I too like to cook.http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...iecook2iz5.gif
I had almost as much hands on in raising the kids as my wife did, from changing of diapers, cooking, cleaning, homeschooling.
I did most of the home repair and yard work, except she did most of the produce gardening.
We both worked outside of the home, she as a nurse, and I mostly as a painting contractor.
For the most part we share things like cooking and laundry. I absolutely won't empty the black water tank!!! I always liked yard work including mowing although he always felt he knew how to mow correctly and I did not...:groovy:
I don't even know what a "black water tank" is.
We have some reversals.. I don't remember important dates or anniversaires.. I don't like driving, but do navigation ok. I hate, reaaaalllllyyyyy HATE shopping. He does most of the grocery stuff. But, if it's something specific I want, and I want a certain one, I'll go. I do all the vitamin/mineral/body care though.
I do anything that's computer related. He can turn it on and off.. and managed a google search once.. did some games on Pogo, but that was it.
He has a phone, but it's has a huge rotary dial on the front.. very inconvenient for his pocket.. (ok.. not quite that bad)
we both do cooking things.. but you can tell who did what.. his are always nice, uniform pieces.. mine are random..
We're a good match.
I enjoy cutting the grass too, immediate gratification I suppose, you see the fruit of your labor right away tho I only enjoy it in the spring and fall not in the heat of the summer...a lady should not sweat.
Edging and power washing, nah, pass on that. But I did recently buy myself two new toys that could be considered guy stuff and I love them! This is the first, its wonderful for quickly and easily clearing leaves and debris off of the deck, patio, sidewalks, or whatever...sure beats time consuming sweeping:

Then just last month I bought this when I saw it on sale at my local Harbor Freight store. I have a large yard with various trees and shrubs and while I love gardening it gets a little tedious to use a manual pole pruner to snip away some of the branches so when I saw that something like this existed I knew I had to have it...its my favorite new toy. I used it again this weekend and now have a huge pile of yard waste waiting to be put out for pick up tonight:
