I don't know alot about him but from what is written he had a very large ministry in certain pente/charismatic circles
My concern is that sections of the pente/charis church never learn from the past.
We have big ministries who are idolised for their gifts but when exposed with problems it is very difficult to bring that person into accountability and restoration.
Jeff seems to have had serious alcohol issues with DUI's as well as recent erratic behaviour. Did his fellow friend ministers try to help?
Maybe they did privately and he didn't respond to them. His followers will give him a pass due to his gifting but that is not scriptural.
This is terribly sad but the state of popular ministries with no accountability is a serious problem.
It doesn't matter how many people were blessed by his ministry - his lifestyle is the No.1 concern to God. God cares more about his spiritual state yet many in the church seem oblivious to this.
I am not talking about being perfect but scripture is clear the standard is higher for those in ministry
None of us want to see Heresy Hunters always attacking Pentes/Charis but we give them the ammunition when we do not deal with foolish and ungodly behavior.
I have to be careful here, but let me say this in general and then you will have to put the pieces together.
Some people refuse help even when it's offered. Some leaders feel they are above being reprimanded, they do not want to come under accountability even when they are warned. Pride always comes before a fall.
Sadly, there is a dark side to this but perhaps it's just too early. I'm sure more will come to the surface at some point, at least in part.
We are living in a time of God revealing, uncovering, exposing, and sifting.

You think he committed suicide? Normally when they don't list a cause and it's 'suddenly' and 'unexpected' that's what happened. Otherwise they would have said heart attack or something else that would kill you instantly.

That could be, or perhaps it wasn't an on purpose suicide (if that makes sense).
I will say this, it's pretty common knowledge..he was put out of his church for continual problems .. quite a few
.. his wife finally divorced him and kept the church.. this all went down last year.. I think last sept. He decided not to receive help but rather go live in the mountains and find God for himself allegedly.

Interesting post from Jeff's wife. She said the divorce wasn't finalized but in works .. says she plans to make an address this Sunday from the pulpit.

Wise woman of God. Love this. That's how it's done. Example of a true Proverbs 31 woman.

Jubal Johnson feels like we should have tried to raise Jeff Jasen from the dead.
