What's Wrong with Wind and Solar?

What's Wrong with Wind and Solar?

Are wind, solar, and batteries the magical solutions to all our energy needs? Or do they come with too high a price?

Mark Mills, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, analyzes the true cost — both economic and environmental — of so-called green energy.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...

I have been trying to work out a way to put solar panels on my roof. Our city does not store and sell back power we produce in a way that offsets the cost of the panels. Government subsidies also fail to make it worthwhile. I really wanted to do it but in the end I am better off with a small backup generator and cheap electricity from the grid. I do use a solar panel to keep my batteries in the RV topped off.

I have an inverter/generator for power outtages at home and take it with us to power up our camper trailer as needed when out in the boonies. Has two phone charge ports and 2 110v plugs.

Just saw an ad for a solar charger/batt for phones that is about the size of a phone. Prices were reasonable.
