I might look at the calories, but more as an average rather than worrying too much about day to day. I have a tendency for disordered eating, particularly bingeing. My goal is to eat intuitively, but first, I need to learn to listen to my body better. I am doing OMAD for now and might try a longer fast once a month to get the benefit of autophagy, but my ultimate goal for now is to fast 16:8 to maintain. That could change down the road as I do more research, but I consider IF a way of life at this point.
    What are your macros?

Right now I'm trying to have only incidental carbs, and 80% fat and 20% protein. A true keto ratio. But I am eating a few carbs here and there like a hamburger bun.

But if you eat meat with plenty of vegetables you're gonna see the same difference. And try to throw in an egg a day. :)

I'm just paying attention to macros to make sure I'm getting enough protein, especially since I'm trying to build strength in my knees through physical therapy. My fats and carbs fluctuate, but I would say generally that I'm low carb, but not keto.
