Here is the thing about today's 'gospel'. It's like a buffet. You can pick what you want. Back in Biblical times there was only one gospel. The saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit, 'demonstration of the Spirit and power' gospel. Today you can have it like you want it. Your choice. Power or no power. Baptism in the Holy Spirit or no baptism in the Holy Spirit. Tongues or no tongues. Deliverance or no deliverance. And 100s of other variations of your choice.
I know of a pastor who is Spirit-filled, talking in tongues, but he told my friend not to tell anybody. He doesn't preach/teach on that in his rather large church with good worship and good services. You are Baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues but don't tell anybody? You are a spiritual coward, operate in the fear of man, and will have to stand before God for that. That's worse than just being ignorant of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. But still parts of the same tree.
Agree with you wholeheartedly.

Welcome to the endtimes Bro Booth. We have arrived.
Powerless churches nauseate me deep deep inside my spirit. Maybe it's because upfront they love me but down inside they can't wait until I leave.

At the end of the above youtube I literally felt tingles down the back of my neck as he preached on the power of the gospel...that was a strong anointing.
The former pastor of Hillsong NY, who was sacked recently after a bunch of scandals, came across the same way. Charismatics thought that he was an anointed preacher, one of their favorites. I don't know how much anointing there was over his sinful life, but in the case of the Cessationist, there clearly can be none. He may however be a gifted speaker by nature, and the fact that he means what he says, helps a lot. When the listener agrees with what he is saying (though not necessarily with what he is not saying), then especially so. Some times we interpret someone favorably where the intention may have been different, we tend to do the opposite if we dislike them or their speech in general.

It took an angelic visitation to convince Peter that Gentiles could be saved .Doesn't mean that Peter wasn't anointed before then.
Even after learning that Gentiles could be saved , it didn't stop Peter from playing hypocrite in relating to gentiles when Judaizers were around earning him a sharp rebuke from Paul
Point is that people can be anointed and still be closed or found wavering on certain things .
Like the Tithe for instance

Being anointed and being a great public speaker have little to do with each other. Charismatics commonly make the mistake of thinking that because a preacher is a fervent speaker and is (at least currently) saying the right things, therefore he is anointed. In the case of the Cessationist, he is per definition not anointed. He's not even in the category of the non-Charismatic who may somehow have received an anointing from the Holy Spirit without having a clear theology on the matter. He's in the anti-category - he believes that there is currently no such thing.
