FT is giving great answers and because .....EDITED..... FT is giving fantastic answers. .....EDITED.....I have preached for 58 years and always believed that it is wrong for Christians to drink. The Bible is clear that it is a sin to do so. I have seen absolutely nothing posted here that proves to the contrary......EDITED.....
3. No Flaming
You will not "flame" other members or groups of members. Flaming includes, but is not limited to:
- Ridiculing, insulting, or demeaning another member or group of members; (Groups of members include members of denominations other than the one you subscribe to.)
- Ridiculing another member's beliefs;
- Stating or implying that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are not Christian;
- Asking loaded questions that directly cause flames in response;
- Using sarcasm to attempt any of the above; and
- Threats of any sort.

Sorry you feel way, Nikos. In my opinion, Farm Truck is very condescending in his tone toward others.
And just so you know, I'm 68 and never have been drunk in my life. I grew up around alcohol and I'm very aware of its dangers. No matter how I personally feel about alcohol, I cannot twist the obvious intent of Scriptures to suit my own ends. We must all submit our theology to what the Word says and not be swayed by the traditions of men.

I think everything that can be said on this topic has once again been said. I'm closing it for now.
Thanks Bookie, a lot of wisdom there.
Farm Truck and Nikos, you both in the past have made some excellent posts and blessed us but once you add the condescending attitudes and condemnations to the mix all you do is lose your witness. If you really want to teach do it in patience and gentleness.
