You can maintain a 'perfect' appearance of fidelity if you're married and don't out alone with the opposite sex. :)

Depends on the definition. The more they are allowed to demand, the more they will demand. It pays to make some room for oneself. I'm speaking in general here. Paul told the Galatians not to let anyone bring them under (actual) bondage ever again.

Online relationships are just as dangerous.

My husband has access to all my online accounts and my phone, without exception.

Texting relationships... our last pastor was guilty of "sexting" as well as full on moral failure.

It starts "innocently" but can escalate to where you can't believe you let yourself get there...

A long, long time ago, before Jesus was Lord of my life, I let a friendship get too friendly and even after, there were a couple of times that I had to cut off a couple of "friendships" ...... but I heard the Lord say, "Guard your heart." So now, I'm overly cautious.

    It ain't worth it, folks.

    Guard your hearts.

    Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

I think transparency is the key in opposite sex relationships. As long as your spouse knows who you're talking to, and why, then there shouldn't be an issue. Granted, that doesn't mean it's ok to have lots of alone time with someone of the opposite sex, as that is just ASKING for trouble.

    agreed Lista.

As AJ pointed out, EVERYthing needs to be available between spouses.

I've been fortunate that none of my guy friends ever hinted at it going further.. then again, maybe because I'm always talking about D etc.. might have made it crystal clear.
