The churches and the war in Ukraine

I was wondering what the churches in the US are thinking about the war in the Ukraine.
Can you please give me some insight?

There are a lot of churches here in the US.

The hardest part of war is actually selling the war, at the moment there doesn't seem to be many buyers. George Bush was able to sell his wars to the church because of his perceived faith and the vague notion that it was somehow good for Israel, Evangelicals hopped on board with gusto. That won't be happening this time around.

Two issues at work from what you can read across social media and true news outlets. There is the political war army vs army. Then there is the spiritual war involving the saving of refugees. The Church is responding more readily to the latter.

Our church doesn't get into the "politics" of the war - We are praying for the people of Ukraine AND that God will touch Putin's heart.

Yes, I think that is the emotional sorting. A heart for refugees and crashed lives.

Yes. I'm encouraged by the various organizations (Samaritan's Purse, etc) and Churches getting money, food and clothes the Ukrainian people.

Our church is connected to an apostolic overseer of churches in Ukraine. We are taking collections for monies to be sent over to assist in whatever way. The overseer is heading to Bulgaria to offer support since he cannot get directly into Ukraine to his churches.
