GE Suspends COVID-19 Vaccine or Test Requirement After U.S. Supreme Court's Ruling

CHICAGO (Reuters) - General Electric Co on Friday said it has suspended COVID-19 vaccine or test requirement for employees after the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling.

The court on Thursday blocked President Joe Biden's COVID-19 vaccination-or-testing mandate for large businesses - a policy the conservative justices deemed an improper imposition on the lives and health of many Americans - while endorsing a separate federal vaccine requirement for healthcare facilities.

Our company (Republic Services) the second largest trash hauling company (32,000 plus employees) in the U.S. (Waste Management #1) has never been on board with vaccine mandates or forced testing since this whole insane outbreak started in the first place. Company executives were really rooting for this thing to be blocked. Mainly, because many, including the CEO have refused the jab. There have been several drivers at my division in Bellevue who have tested positive for C-19 over the last 10 months, including me, but the symptoms were not very severe whatsoever. We all took our 10 day quarantine at home and returned to work with a doctor's release. There was really no big deal! This whole virus thing has been blown way out of proportion since it all started roughly two years ago.

Scott has been urging his company to not require the jab. They are taking the soft approach of requesting employees tell them whether or not they have had the jab or not. Unfortunately those that don't tell are automatically assumed to be unvaxxed.

Well, now those who have had the jab are now getting covid. Scott's business partner got it a month ago. He has many comorbidities. We ended up providing him with the drug he couldn't get anywhere else (wink, wink). He was still hospitalized with "covid pneumonia", but thank God he never needed a vent and has recovered.
