    Lysine for viruses

I was feeling really bad yesterday. Wondered if it was covid? I had some lysine and took 2 tablets 1000 mg each. I took 2 more later on in the day. By evening I felt much better, like I did not even have the flu. Today I woke up and still feel better, but I have a head cold. I was amazed at the positive effects of lysine. Its's very safe to take.

    Sounds about right!

The amino acid, L-Lysine, has had known antiviral properties since the 1980's when it was used to successfully treat herpes. Lysine inhibits Arginine absorption in the intestine, resulting in inflammation reduction. It may also be effective in treating and preventing cold sores. Because it is a known antiviral, is it possible that it is effective in treating or preventing the infection known as SARS-CoV-2?

In one study approximately 80% of acute stage covid-19 sufferers given Lysine displayed a minimum of 70% reduction in symptoms in the first 48 hours.

Lysine was one of the amino acid supps we took as bodybuilders back in the 70's and 80's. Good stuff all around.

I take lysine and argenine every day. And if I drink a protein drink there is eve more in there. But apparently they cancel each other out where viruses are concerned. lol.

Just take more. That's what we believed. As a competing powerlifter I was doing hundreds of grams in aminos, protein powder, chicken, steak, cottage cheese etc etc etc

Coming out on the other end of this flu and the Lysine definitely helped a lot. Was it Omricon ? Don't know....
