In 1983 WV Grant's associates would cruise the crowd as they came in finding out names and ailments of those attending his circus. Later in the service he called a lady up front who had a cane. He gave out her name and ailment then broke her cane in half as the crowd roared. She was sent her way. She came down the aisle saying in a loud disturbed voice, "he broke my cane, he broke my cane!" The lady was mentally retarded and did not understand a thing that just had happened to her! I was working with the mentally retarded at the time, so I immediately recognized her condition. The girl I brought with me gasped and said to me, "did you hear that?" I tried to cover for the dog and said, "she does not realize she's healed." It was so stunning to see this crook with my own eyes do this! He went from hero to zero. There were other shenanigans that happened over the course of this crusade too numerous and painful to recall. I realized that he was, and still is, a degenerate con man.

Disappointing.

Tracey may have a genuine gift ? But if starts scamming people like papa he will lose it..... Check out Chris Reed from Morningstar. I think he was a Holiness Pentecostal Pastor and is now the new head of Morningstar Ministries as Rick Joyner's successor. They are not my type of flow, but he is the real deal and so far, solid. He is married and has got a gang of kids.

He was outed by Diane Sawyer on Primetime Live Nov 21 1991 along with Robert Tilton and Larry Lea. That was a huge takedown. God used an ungodly means to judge them.

You know Popoff was outed too. They picked up his frequency of his wife telling him stuff. He's back at it again though.

You know, or think they would know they are going to have to stand before God one day. And this is all about money. So they are either not saved, or it could very well cost them their salvation. That kind of stuff is dangerous ground, especially when you add the love of money element to it and fleecing the sheep.

His first scam (am radio) I recall was about 2 years after his being caught in '86 with the earpiece fraud dealings was trying to sell cassette tapes of screams from hell. He claimed someone lowered a microphone down a deep pipe (oil??) and listened to the sounds of hell. I had a Detroit christian station on in my office and not knowing what Popoff was. The man is the lowest of the low. He could tell convincing lies to Robert Tilton.

I don't think it was his, knowing him it may not have been. In that case it makes him double the thief.
