    In Washington, D.C., Congress passed two new bills: one will mean a $10 million increase in the budget to enforce Prohibition. The other approved the bill to legalize medical beer. For those who need medical beer, they must have a prescription from a licensed physician, and the druggists must also be approved for medical beer.

    At a recent illegal booze trial in Greeley, a chemist was called to testify about the alcohol involved in the case. He was the booze was 36 percent alcohol, but did not contain any of the deadly wood alcohol.

    A weekly newspaper here printed a mean message: "Miss ???? (we won't use her name here) who claims to be just 20 years old, is visiting with her twin brother, who is 31 years old." Something odd there.

    A bedroom that is overcrowded with furniture and hung with heavy draperies is bad for one's health. A bedroom should have plenty of windows and they all should be kept open at night.

    Joe Clark, the man charged in the robbery of the Kersey Bank, will be tried in court here on two counts: burglary and the wrongful use of explosives.

    Group 2 of the Park Congregational Church had an all-day meeting Thursday at the Insinger Home. The women of the church spend the day sewing carpet rags.

    When taking a suspect's fingerprints the modern detective first dips the fingers into a metallic solution, then excess solution is wiped away with a cloth. This leaves the metal in the furrows of the fingerprints. Then an X-ray photo is taken and the fingerprints are clear and sharp.

    The girls at Greeley High School made megaphones this week to be used for shouting at the game against unbeaten Longmont High School. The girls made 200 megaphones and sold all of them for 5 cents each. The proceeds went into the Girls' Association Treasury.

    In preparation for the big game, the Greeley Court House was decorated in the Greeley High school colors this week. However, someone released a goat on the court house lawn, and it ate grass while wearing Longmont High School colors.
