The problem with that is that it is too dark in the morning with kids getting on the school bus. Although I dislike the change (or, I should say my body does!) it was nice having light before 7:00 AM.
But that will change soon enough and will be dark again for the kiddies.

I'd prefer DST all year round, even though it's not light until late in the morning here. I think one of the arguments was, back in the day, that they didn't want kids walking to school in the dark. I don't think I ever see kids walking to school.... it seems everyone gets driven to and from school regardless of how close or far they are. I grew up walking one mile to school. You don't see that any more.
My daughters walked to school. They graduated in 2017.
I walked to the school bus stop when I was a kid.
