Had a blast out on the little lake tonight. This is the little secret us locals have. Saint Clair lake is only 60ac and is on a chain of lakes. I've posted here about it some. The lake never fails to surprise. During ice season several of us good ole boys always ask if anyone has caught a walleye. Best I could say was probably, thinking I saw one on underwater camera last winter. Big mystery. Until tonight.

Here is the pike I hooked, clean fish about 25".

And...the 21" walleye that just totally made my night. Best tasting fish besides whitefish...

Went out again last night and had a repeat outcome though this was on our more local lake 4mi down the road. The walleye was the same size as the night before and the pike looked like it needed a meal.

When posting a walleye catch on fishbrain app from our area I list it as caught from Loch Ness.

The pike are always released. This one was 23".

On the edge of icefishing dreams (a few more weeks)...this is why an underwater camera setup is a gamechanger for ice. You just can't believe what happens down there

Here was my best day on ice. My very first muskie (dream fish) and through the ice at that. Double cool. Learning that my curiosity over this little 66ac lake is well deserved. The following pics are of Tiger muskie. The state shut down the tiger program 32 years ago but did say the hybrid crossing of pike and muskie can and does very rarely occur naturally. I raised a few eyebrows catching this little Tiger...

There are 3 biologist fisherman that say the little lake is dominated by variations and hybrids. In fact, is the perfect conditions for them to breed, crossovers. Better yet, last week was spawning season and found out my hotspot for ice fishing is where they all breed. No kidding. Thank you Jesus!

Same day catching the little tiger I saw this monster on my video cam:

Difficult to estimate size but this monster I have marked on sonar last spring or was another biggie. Minimum 44".
