I wouldn't say that I was traumatized when I learned the truth but it did make me start questioning things including the existence of God...who was to say that they weren't lying about Him too? But that didn't sour me on Christmas, I still greatly enjoy the traditions associated with it as long as you don't lie to little kids.

Interesting...I didn't. But then again I came from a severely dysfunctional family so my faith did not originate with them in the first place...guess that does make a difference!
