Regarding the comment about a "people group", we should note that ever since 33 AD, Jews have received their Messiah, become Christians and in the space of maximum a few generations they have been assimilated into the general Christian population, no longer being regarded as Jews. In time, Jews came to mean those who kept adhering to a Judaism without Jesus as Messiah. So we are really talking about God "denying" salvation to a religious group, not a group of people. There are still many million such Jews but if we could have counted all the people who are Christians instead of Jews on account of their own conversion or the conversion of their forefathers, then that number could well be much larger !

    I agree.

No man comes to the Father except through the Son.

Good scripture, there is a specific name involved.

The thing is, boiling salvation down to Jesus is very offensive to the natural man. It offends the sensibilities, mainly selfishness and especially pride. A person has to break their pride to come to the specific way to salvation, Jesus. They have to break their pride over what they think should encompass their salvation, whether by works or some other means, and even break their pride over what their current religion says is the answer to salvation, and humble themselves (this is the breaking of the pride) to accept the Father's answer for salvation: Jesus. Jesus IS the way, the truth, the life. No man comes to the Father but by HIM. There is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved, Jesus.

No matter how much we love someone, our family, our friends, or even the people group we minister to, salvation is by Jesus. It's this very love for others and their desire to see them go to heaven that is the main influence in people accepting universal salvation doctrines, dual covenant theology, etc. It's the natural mind wanting to come up with some other way or some other justification for salvation other than the way it is: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." That's the bottom line.

God doesn't deny salvation to anyone. They deny themselves access to it by not accepting the Father's path to salvation, which is through Jesus Christ\Messiah. Since God is one and if a person truly loves the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, in an indirect way I supposed they could love Jesus, but they don't love Jesus in a specific way and His specific identity in such a way that it results in salvation. There's just no getting around it just like there's no getting around if you want to be born in this earth you have to come through the womb of a woman. There is no other way, as restrictive as that might be. If you want to be born of the Spirit it's coming through Jesus, because He has to be acknowledged in His specific identity and that God raised HIM (Jesus) from the dead. Just 'loving the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob doesn't accomplish that.

The problem is the natural mind just can't understand this when being moved by 'love' for someone. And we get into natural thinking when we leave the Word and try to reason people into heaven some other way that what God actually provided.

Galatians 5:11 Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

There you go. It IS an offense. And it was JESUS hanging on that cross.

There is also the question of whether or not anyone is going to take up faith in Jesus without being convicted by the Spirit of that truth first then drawn to deny themselves and their own identities/lives in this world by taking up faith in Jesus and his righteousness instead of in own righteousness (including own love for God)
In the negative sense, a lot of Jews think that Jesus is/was just another teacher or religious leader but that doesn't bring them to salvation in the positive sense. It just means that they lack a sense of the "stumbling block" and a real choice to either embrace or reject him for who he really is.

We have to look at it from God the Fathers perspective , the God of the OT and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

He has ONLY 1 son and he loves his son and has declared that since he revealed and sent his son to earth that is the ONLY way to come to him as Father and God almighty
Moses is not his begotten son, Abraham is not his begotten son, David is not his begotten son

It is now very offensive to God to think someone would try to come to him without his son
God has invested EVERYTHING into his son
