Regarding the comment about a "people group", we should note that ever since 33 AD, Jews have received their Messiah, become Christians and in the space of maximum a few generations they have been assimilated into the general Christian population, no longer being regarded as Jews. In time, Jews came to mean those who kept adhering to a Judaism without Jesus as Messiah. So we are really talking about God "denying" salvation to a religious group, not a group of people. There are still many million such Jews but if we could have counted all the people who are Christians instead of Jews on account of their own conversion or the conversion of their forefathers, then that number could well be much larger !
