    Mask Question

When will you know you can stop wearing a mask?

I really want to hear from people on this subject because when I look out over the next 12-24 months I'm not so sure mask wearing in public will ever stop. What are your thoughts?

I think it will morph into a voluntary thing, some will, some won't wear the mask.

I agree with John - Since I don't plan to get the vaccine, it will probably become a "way of life" for me, and I can live with that (no pun intended)

The reason for the mask is if YOU are symptomatic. It may reduce your "output" so to speak but there is no good reason to wear one if you are not sick.

I can see the moonbat liberals struggling frantically against common sense conservatives (yes, it is political) for as long as they can. Maybe by the end of the year this indoor mandate will fade out. But I'm not holding out hope.

This is a good point that the masks are for IF YOU ARE SICK. However, that is not the narrative that we are hearing right now.

We just moved to orange tier but everyone's still running around looking fearful in their mask.

I only wear a mask when required going into medical facilities, and my hairdresser but on my appointment on Tuesday, I'm going to ask if I can be unmasked. For all my shopping and other errands, I don't wear one.

Our church (all Saskatchewan churches - and yes I live in Alberta, but the church we attend is in SK) got bumped up to 150 recently so we're finally going back to church. We're supposed to mask, but I just can't. I cannot be stifled like that. We'll see, I guess, if anyone complains about me. My DH wears a mask going in and out but takes it off once we're seated. He feels it makes others comfortable, which is exactly why 90% of people wear one, I believe... follow the rules and keep everyone feeling comfortable. Frustrates me to no end.

So I guess what I'm saying is, as far as I'm concerned, the time to take off the masks was yesterday.

Our governor here in GA is easing a lot of business restrictions this Thursday. Although most of the restaurants I've been in I can't tell they've had restrictions. We've never had much of a lockdown other than April last year.

Israel seems to be very close to having "Herd immunity" and the mask mandate may be rescinded next month. We already have opened the economy and the airports are allowing Israelis to come and go. We still have limits but things are returning to normal. Don't forget that Israel already has a partially socialistic political and social reality. And we are a stiff necked bunch. We have refused three or four attempts to establish a government that wants to continue without change. For now, I will continue to wear a mask. But it isn't because of the disease so much as protection from the police.
