Most of the time I wait until about 2 or 3. A few times earlier, like today I ate about 11:30am, then walked an hour a little while later, then had a protein drink and a turkey and Swiss cheese rollup about 5:30. I know many will wait until 4-6 or so so they're not hungry the rest of the night. That's why I try to do it more in the afternoon. I can seem to go pretty long without eating from the time I get up until I do eat. Easier to not eat the first part of the day for me. But it's just what works best for you. It can be any time.
As far as calories, I imagine 1200-1700 somewhere. I usually am doing low carb when I do that though. I'm not a heavy lifter like you are, so you could probably do 2000-2500. Or whatever it takes to maintain your weight if you're fine with it, or adjusting less if you are trying to lose a little.
