    Where are we heading?

    It seems like more than ever these days people are searching for answers.
    Jesus told us that we would experience trouble in this world (Jn 16:33).
    But it seems that now more than ever, there is global confusion and unrest concerning the future. Some have already given up hope. What does the future hold?
    One would look at our country today from a Christian perspective and would say that we need a "revival of repentance," and a "spiritual awakening."
    Someone said the only hope for America is Jesus Christ, and I agree.

    I've read some current up to date prophecies that there is "A Fresh Move of God Coming on the Horizon." In the midst of the fear, conflict, and unrest in the USA and the global community, it is being said that a "spiritual awakening" will soon break forth in an unprecedented outpouring of supernatural glory. One prophet said, "Prepare your life to be a resting place for the Holy Spirit in this historic hour of glory, presence, and miracles."

    And yes, I want to see another move of God in this world. I want to see people get saved and find new direction and purpose through Jesus Christ. And I want to be used as a instrument, or vessel by the Holy Spirit to reach out to those who need salvation and healing. I'm sure many of us here at LFF would feel the same way. I'm sure many of us could also agree that regrettably, America has entered a time of uncertainty, instability, and great perplexity.

    Let me to switch gears here and look at Acts 27:20;
    "And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest (or small storm) lay on us, all hope (faith or confidence) that we should be saved (delivered or protected) was then taken away.
    Paul warned the centurion and the ship master that the voyage would be extremely dangerous. He prophesied correctly that the ship would suffer severe damage and all life on board would be put in jeopardy. I find it amazing how, when men of God degree warnings through the Holy Spirit, most listeners refuse to take heed concerning God's grace and foreknowledge concerning impending danger.

    There are many behind the pulpits in todays churches that are saying this is a decade of destiny, filled with glory, and your best life now. Of coarse, many church members only desire a smooth, non-conflicting message; one without any Holy Ghost conviction. Because of compromise and unrepentant sin in and outside the church, we are about to enter a very similar hour to that which Paul described when neither sun nor stars appeared for many days. Similar texts are found in the book of Revelation. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear, this is truly an overview of the Great Tribulation. When the sun and stars fail to appear certainly describes an hour of darkness coming upon the earth.

    The storm in Acts chapter 27 is called Euroclydon: a storm of profound intensity coming from the southeastern parts of the sea. Paul described this storm as typhonikos, that is, typhonic; but translated as "tempestuous," and suggesting a whirlwind or typhoon. This is the kind of storm America will soon witness in the coming days. This storm will blow severely because of lawlessness, godless disobedience, and corrupt evil politicians who lead our nation. No nation has been saturated with the Gospel of Jesus Christ like America. Today in this country the gospel is spurned and rejected, and many refuse to listen and heed godly warnings. Therefore, those who do not take these admonishments seriously will also suffer great loss because of this ferocious storm.

    The coming days will get so dark and listless that any hope that some should be saved from it will be taken away. But the good news is this: if we remain anchored in Christ Jesus, all hope is not lost. Just as the angel told Paul in Acts 27:24, "God hath given thee all them that sail with thee," God is sailing along side every blood-bought, born-again child of God. And God is still able to pour out His Spirit upon this world even in the midst of a dark intense storm and bring about a mighty harvest of souls. And that's what it may take for people to cry out to God when all hope seems to be lost. And be ready for God to use you (and me) to help Him bring in the end-time harvest during a time of chaos and turmoil.

    "ARISE, shine; for your light has come,
    And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
    "For behold, the darkness will cover the earth,
    and deep darkness the people;
    But the Lord will rise upon you,
    And His glory will appear upon you.
    "And nations will come to your light,
    And kings to the brightness of your rising
    (Isa 60:1-2).

    Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times which have not been done,
    Saying, "My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure
    (Isa 46:10).

    It is imperative every child of God remain steadfast and unmovable in this hour.
    I want to encourage you not to lose hope when dark days and times of isolation fall upon America.
    We must remain steadfast in the coming days and not tire or give up in our pilgrimage.
    There will be another spiritual awakening and God will pour out His Spirit in these last-days end-time hour, but I think many will be surprised of when and how He will do it.
    If you put God First, you have Him at Last.
