Thread: Idaho mask burning to protest mask mandates

New Jersey is also gradually lifting its covid-related restrictions. Regarding masks, the current guidance is "Face coverings are required in indoor public spaces and in outdoor public spaces when social distancing is difficult to maintain".

Seems reasonable to me, so when I shop, go to work, go to the gym, or visit a doctor's office, I wear the mask. It's a nuisance (steams up my eyeglasses), and I'm looking forward to the day when I can stop, but it's not something that makes me angry.

When walking outside, I don't wear the mask, and if I encounter someone walking in the opposite direction I do a quick diagonal move to maintain a bit of distance while smiling and greeting them. (Don't want them to think I don't like them.)

Basically the same. If I haven't been into a place I'll put a mask on since I don't know. When I go walking I don't wear a mask. And I almost never see someone walking or running in the same area wearing a mask. I mean it's a non-issue for me. If I need to wear it I will and if I don't I don't.

We've been in this nonsense for a whole year as of this month. I lost track until the news yesterday brought it up. But with Beijing Biden in office and if he keeps to his campaign promise we'll be looking at 4 years of masking up.

Do you think it ever crossed their mind how many criminals can get away with stuff now? "What did the culprit look like?"
"Uhhhhh, well, they were masked. I have no idea."
"Sometimes the devil allows people to live a life free of trouble because he doesn't want people turning to God. Their sin is like a jail cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn't seem to be any reason to leave. The door's wide open. Till one day time runs out and the door slams shut and suddenly it's too late to get out."

The second time I went in, I was still nervous, but not so bad. Now, it's no big deal. I just walk in, and not just in my regular grocery store, either.

Now Kroger - they are "Mask Nazis" and I have just chosen not to shop there. There are plenty of places that are truly free.

We have a few restaurants that have operated at full capacity and even the staff don't have masks on. So refreshing to be in places where life is like it was pre-covid.

Our church has been open this whole time as well, and masks are not required, we are not social distancing, and we are bursting at the seams. We do have a mandate for households to come in one car whenever possible because we've maxed out our parking. A good problem to have!
Our state is removing most restrictions as of tomorrow. City mandates will still be in place. I'm surprised when I go out how many are wearing masks. Very few seem to be going in businesses without masks.
