    Watering Christmas trees

I haven't had a live tree since I was 21. (I bet I won't have one when I'm 70 ) I had forgotten about stretching out on the floor to water the daggum thing. Anyone have any hints to make it easier?

This probably isn't an option for this year but: http://www.acehardware.com/product/i...la=pla_1767861

If you have enough room, this might be an option: http://lifehacker.com/5110020/make-a....google.com%2F

I would love another real Christmas tree, haven't had one in ages, maybe next year...and while I never used this device I've seen them advertised. It sounds like a simple idea that would work, maybe you could even make one yourself:

I most likely won't have another live tree indoors..I do love to see them lit up in yards, especially with those old fashioned big bulbs..maybe with an inner layer of twinkle lights...

I know your space is limited but I saw some really cute little live Christmas trees at Krogers the other night for $19.99. They were near the floral department and only about 2 feet high but they were real...I didn't think to look at the time but I think they were the kind that are growing in containers where after Christmas you could plant them outside.

This particular tree is very, very wide, so reaching the base of it is a struggle. I do like the funnel idea...

I like the funnel idea too, I have a fish tank, so I'm thinking I could use my "tank vacuum" to do the job. The only problem I see if being able to tell how much water the tree needs.

This is what I'm talking about in case anyone isn't familiar with "tank vacuum" or if that's the wrong word for it.
