What are the first two commandments?

    1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

    2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.

The three Hebrew children knew this and chose going into the furnace of fire instead of bowing down to Nebuchadnezzar's golden image.

Antichrist (1st beast) wants to be worshipped as God and will demand that everyone alive at the time of his short reign on earth do it.

The false prophet (2nd beast) will enforce his global edict and demand that everyone worship his image.

It's more about swearing allegiance, bowing down and worshipping antichrist and his image.

As a testimony and show of your commitment to swearing allegiance to "the man of sin" you will agree to receive his "mark" in your right hand or forehead.

A truly, born-again, blood bought, Holy Ghost sealed child of God would count the cost (becoming a societal outcast) and choose to go the route that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedengo went instead of bowing down and worshipping an image, knowing that refusal to bow and worship would result in your immediate death (martyrdom).

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them.
And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God,
    and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand;
and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years (Rev 20:4).

The ultimate denial of Jesus would be to reject Him and worship anti-christ and his false image which would result in Him denying you before the Father (Mt 10:33).

What absolute horror to hear Jesus deny you before the the Father.

And if that is not bad enough, I don't care what Johnny Mac says about retaining your salvation and receiving forgiveness for the ultimate traitorous treason of denying the Master.
There will be eternal consequences for replacing Christ for anti-christ as your God.

The lake of fire is eternal everlasting torment that goes on forever and ever and will never end (Rev 20:10).

And you expect me to take my chances on not going there because Johnny Mac says you won't if you receive the mark. "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!"

    Forever, O Lord,
Thy word is settled in heaven (Psm119:89).

The grass withers, and the flower fades,
But the word of God stands forever (Isa 40:8).

If God said it in His word, I believe it, PERIOD!

    If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand;
"...he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

    And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever;
and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name
    (Rev 14:9-11).

Of coarse there are preachers who will try and explain God's eternal word away saying, "It really doesn't mean that, here's the correct interpretation."

Don't listen to them folks! Trust God's word alone. Believe God, not a fallen man. Deception is rampant and it will only get worse as the last days progress.

"For thou hast magnified Thy word according to all Thy name (Psm 138:2).
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

OK LH, did your research into the this video and what's behind it justify that conclusion? Here's what I quickly discovered.

We start out sinners and then God justifies us. Then over life we are sanctified, "the Bible also refers to sanctification as a practical experience of our separation unto God. "Progressive" or "experiential" sanctification, as it is sometimes called, is the effect of obedience to the Word of God in one's life. It is the same as growing in the Lord (2 Peter 3:18) or spiritual maturity" (What is sanctification? What is the definition of Christian sanctification? | GotQuestions.org). If we are being sanctified we should be able to see that in our lives.

Paul says to the Corinthians, 2Cor 13:5 (NASB) "TEST YOURSELVES to see if you are IN the FAITH; EXAMINE YOURSELVES! Or do you NOT recognize this about yourselves, that JESUS CHRIST is in you—unless indeed you FAIL the TEST?" and 1 Cor 11:31-32 (NASB) "But if we JUDGED ourselves RIGHTLY, we would NOT be JUDGED. But when we are JUDGED, we are DISCIPLINED by the LORD so that we will NOT be CONDEMNED ALONG with the WORLD." (caps in original) and JMac has simply said that if we are to test ourselves, examine ourselves, and judge ourselves as the Bible tells us to then here are some tips on how to do it. Here are some changes that we will see in our life if we are. He's not saying do these things and we will get saved, he's saying if we're saved we'll do these things. The video maker has no excuse for not knowing that.

Although I know you've examined these things deeply LH, for the others here's JMac's list of things we should see in our lives if we're being sanctified.
    1. Do you Enjoy Fellowship with God and Christ?
    2. Are you Sensitive to Sin in your Life?
    3. Do you Obey the Scriptures?
    4. Do you Reject this Evil World?
    5. Do you Love Christ and eagerly await His Return?
    6. Do you see a Decreasing Pattern of Sin in your Life?
    7. Do you Love other Christians?
    8. Do you Receive Answers to your Prayers?
    9. Do you Experience the Ministry of the Holy Spirit?
    10. Can you Discern between Spiritual Truth and Error?
    11. Have you Suffered on Account of your Faith in Christ?

There's not many things there we can do in our own moral pursuits and zealous efforts and the video maker should know that.

    Added below:

LH, how does the claim that JMac says that assurance is based on the believers own moral pursuits and zealous efforts line up with this statement?

But that wasn't the question Smitty. It was not a question about Christians "replacing Christ for anti-christ as your God" but about unsaved people who replaced one false God for another.

    You wrote:

What are the first two commandments?

    1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
    2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.

these are true. But is it unforgiveable? Of the Thessalonians Paul writes "how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God". These people broke commandments 1 and 2 yet are now saved. Paul wrote to the Corinthians "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God?". That excludes most of us doesn't it? But Paul followed it up with "Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." They broke the commandments but were forgiven.

You also say, "Of coarse there are preachers who will try and explain God's eternal word away saying, "It really doesn't mean that, here's the correct interpretation". John said of Jesus, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world except the sin of taking the mark of the beast" and a different John wrote "for God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whoever believes shall not perish except for those who take the mark of the beast".

There's a lot in the Bible about sin and punishment, but there's also a lot about forgiveness. We have to look at all of it. Is the sin of worshipping a false god, something we've all done though mostly without physical idols, unforgiveable? If it is we're all lost.

A meme (of a quote from JMac) to illustrate that the idea that "JMac says that believes hope is not based on the resurrection of Christ, instead assurance is based on the believers own moral pursuits and zealous efforts" is a misunderstanding of what JMac has actually said:

The points that JMac raised are just ways in which we can look at our own lives and see if we are being transformed.
