The Word instructs us to repent from double-mindedness, it is more than a general condition of being less than fully sanctified :
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded

In the case you were addressing...you ARE speaking of someone who has allowed the sin nature to take control. I'm speaking of our daily walk of struggling with sin. That one thorn in the flesh that continually nags at you, and you continually have to rebuke it, and ask the Lord to set your mind on things above. I should have put double-mindedness (in my OP) in quotes...it's not what I specifically meant.

I'm not so sure that that is what Paul was referring to when he talked about "the thorn in the flesh" but never mind.

I was merely pointing out that you are righteous in Christ Jesus and not in and of yourself, you got a problem with dialogue ?

You didn't get my point quite obviously, no need to get cranky just because things aren't exactly as you want them to be.

There was no need for your point since I already made my point which was 100% biblical....why do you need to add your point when it was totally unnecessary
