This is about Australian Aboriginals.

In someone FB post I read, "Deaths in custody on the whole is an issue it seems <name>: The sheer numbers are greater because of imprisonment rate etc but...."

I was struck by the words "sheer numbers" and so I look and I find out that a "total of at least Indigenous 437 deaths in custody have been recorded since 1991", that's 15 a year.

I then look elsewhere and discover that almost 3,000 Aboriginals died in 2017 and somewhere else says that smoking is responsible for "around 1 in 5 (Aboriginal) deaths", that's 600 that year.

Are we addressing the right issue?
