    Benefits of Hydroxychloroquine

For RA and lupus, Plaquenil is prescribed as a disease-modifier, meaning that it:

    Decreases pain
    Lessens inflammation
    Prevents joint damage
    Helps retain physical ability

    Improve lipid profiles
Control glucose and reduce the risk of diabetes mellitus
Lower the risk of thrombosis in certain at-risk people
    and

Plaquenil is generally well-tolerated, but as with any drug, side effects are possible.

Plaquenil: Uses, Side Effects, Dosages, Precautions

So, here is the bewitching part.... If you have RA or lupus or malaria, the use of hydroxychloquine is a great solution, you will feel better and not have issues but if you use it to treat Wuhan Chinese virus, you will surely DIE.

    Who has bewitched YOU?

Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) act by altering the underlying disease rather than treating symptoms.
    Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) | Side-effects

HCQ must be a nightmare for the medical mafia as it actually treats/modifies the underlying condition, they can't have that as it is only profitable to treat symptoms, keeping the patient dependent on quackery.

It actually is an interesting drug, they have been researching it as a cancer-fighting drug also.

Malaria drugs could help to combat cancer

Yes, it is an interesting drug, but with respect to Covid19, studies are accumulating that show no benefit, and some harm, from taking the drug. Here's one that came out two days ago:

New study shows no benefit, and possible harm, from taking hydroxychloroquine for Covid19

In brief: In this large multinational real-world analysis, we did not observe any benefit of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine (when used alone or in combination with a macrolide) on in-hospital outcomes, when initiated early after diagnosis of COVID-19. Each of the drug regimens of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine alone or in combination with a macrolide was associated with an increased hazard for clinically significant occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias and increased risk of in-hospital death with COVID-19.

And in the study, some details on the relationship between the medication and heart condition: Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are associated with concerns of cardiovascular toxicity, particularly because of their known relationship with electrical instability, characterised by QT interval prolongation (the time taken for ventricular depolarisation and repolarisation). This mechanism relates to blockade of the hERG potassium channel, which lengthens ventricular repolarisation and the duration of ventricular action potentials. Under specific conditions, early after-depolarisations can trigger ventricular arrhythmias. Such propensity for arrhythmia provocation is more often seen in individuals with structural cardiovascular disease, and cardiac injury has been reported to occur with high frequency during COVID-19 illness., Furthermore, individuals with cardiovascular disease represent a vulnerable population that experience worse outcomes with COVID-19. Pathological studies have pointed to derangements in the vascular endothelium and a diffuse endotheliitis noted across multiple organs in COVID-19. Whether patients with underlying cardiovascular disease and those that experience de-novo cardiovascular injury have a greater predilection to ventricular arrhythmias with chloroquine or its analogues remains uncertain but plausible. COVID-19 is exemplified by initial viral replication followed by enhanced systemic inflammation. The use of chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine in combination with a macrolide is designed to use their antimicrobial properties in a synergistic manner. Macrolides, such as azithromycin and clarithromycin, are antibiotics with immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects. However, these drugs prolong the QT interval and increase the risk of sudden cardiac death. In a preliminary analysis, Borba and colleagues reported a double-blind, randomised trial with 81 adult patients who were hospitalised with severe COVID-19 at a tertiary care facility in Brazil. This study suggested that a higher dose of chloroquine represented a safety hazard, especially when taken concurrently with azithromycin and oseltamivir. In another cohort study of 90 patients with COVID-19 pneumonia, Mercuro and colleagues found that the concomitant use of a macrolide was associated with a greater change in the corrected QT interval. Our study did not examine the QT interval but instead directly analysed the risk of clinically significant ventricular arrythmias. We showed an independent association of the use of either hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine with the occurrence of de-novo ventricular arrhythmias. We also note that the hazard of de-novo ventricular arrhythmias increased when the drugs were used in combination with a macrolide.

Now, they didn't actually study the use of the medication as a prophylactic by people who haven't yet caught the virus, but speaking for myself, if I had any kind of heart condition, I'd definitely ask my doctor about the possible interaction of the medication with my specific heart problem.

HCQ only works on Wuhan virus when taken with Zinc.

The "study" you posted is all about the medical demons trying to disprove a highly effective, safe remedy for the Wuhan Chinese virus. Those people are SICK. They intentionally overdosed people, didn't combine "treatment" with zinc and gave it to worst case patients, people already on death machines (ventilators).

Have any studies been done that support this claim?

    From the study:

Patients for whom one of the treatments of interest was initiated more than 48 h after diagnosis or while they were on mechanical ventilation, as well as patients who received remdesivir, were excluded.

Yes, and the root drug which is Quinine.

Quinine was first isolated in 1820 from the bark of a cinchona tree, which is native to Peru. Bark extracts had been used to treat malaria since at least 1632 and it was introduced to Spain as early as 1636 by Jesuit missionaries from the New World. Quinine is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.
    Quinine - Wikipedia

Quinine was in many remedies (and tonic water) before the medical mafia banned it. I think they came up with newer drugs to treat "restless leg syndrome". I remember they used to run commercials all the time for the expensive drug.

    Some history about Quinine.

The gin and tonic was a drink that was invented as a ploy to get British soldiers and officials of the East India Company residing in the subcontinent, to take their quinine, that would help them fight malaria that was considered a deadly disease back then. So what is now a recreational drink for us, was in fact the very invention that the British Raj, (or at least the men of the Raj) thrived on.

Firstly, it was not a study, it was observational, a big difference.

Secondly, no zinc, no cure. They were just killing people to prove a political point.

All of the studies that show success. I won't do your googling for you.

HCQ is a zinc ionophore, it just opens the cell wall for the zinc to enter and disable the virus.

Zinc is a decidedly anti-viral mineral. High intracellular concentrations inhibit the replication of RNA type viruses, such as SARS-CoV-2. Zinc does this by blocking RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), the core enzyme of their multiprotein replication and transcription complex that is critical for the copying of viral RNA.

That's the conundrum. In high concentrations, zinc can block coronavirus reproduction, but the cell is typically disinclined to tolerate high levels of zinc due to concerns about its other actions.

    Enter the zinc ionophores.

Fortunately, there are molecules that can act as facilitators and enhance the entry of zinc into the cell. These are known as zinc ionophores, and here's the payoff: in addition to its effects on endosome pH, chloroquine has also been demonstrated to be a zinc ionophore.

Well, if there are studies showing that zinc works together with hydroxychloroquine to improve recovery rate from Covid-19, then great. If I were to test positive, I'd ask my doctor to consider that combination along with any others that he or I know of. And before the appointment, I'd do my research and bring copies of the studies with me to his office.

I'd be careful with zinc, as I've read that too high a dose and you could suffer from a depressed immune system. It's not like Vitamin C, which you can basically take as much as you want.
