Sorry FT...if that's true then Jesus would have been fine with smoking dope and snorting coke...because He DID drink wine..

You have no scriptural proof that it was fermented wine.
There is no greek or hebrew word for "fruit of the vine" that differentiates between grape juice and fermented grape juce.
If you think Jesus drank alcoholic wine... then did He also partake of other intoxicants that were available at that time in history?
I mean, others got intoxicated... why wouldn't Jesus do the same?

Of course I do...Jesus was not called a wine bibber and a friend of sinners because He drank grape juice...

We can be pretty sure Jesus never got drunk..
Also it is ironic that on the Day of Pentecost the peoples first thought was that the disciples were drunk...and Peter's defense was not that 'we are disciples of Christ and don't drink wine..' it was, 'it's only the ninth hour!'
PS, I highly admire David Wilkerson and his work for the Kingdom.

This is one of those things where not everyone is going to agree. Yes, I do drink occasionally but I have no worries about abusing it at all. Would I drink at church? No. Would I drink in front of someone I know with a drinking problem? No. I am not all up in people's face about drinking. If you believe it's always a sin to drink, that's fine with me, I don't feel judged because my interpretation is different than yours.
