I wouldn't be surprised after 7 days without a resurrection the pastors may step in and settle things down.
There is nothing wrong with praying for as many people as possible and we shouldn't stop because people don't get healed and some get upset or grieving.
We still should proclaim God's goodness and healing etc.
Our belief is a reasonable faith and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and all things must be weighed and discerned through the lens of faith, healing, discernment, wisdom and truth.
If this is from God then the Holy Spirit must be bear witness of what he is doing in this situation. I would be wanting to know 'What the Spirit' is saying as this
is so unique that a resurrection will make world news.

I'm already seeing the mockery in a medical group on FB I'm in. Sympathy for the parents, but mocking of Bethel and the GoFundMe appeal as another "money grab" by yet another mega-ministry.

I had forgotten about a certain incident. Several years ago when I was teaching Bible college a good friend of mine, a fellow student that had gone to the previous Bible school with me came into my office with his dead son. He had been sick, and they had been riding around and his son died in the car. I can't remember what he had now. I went and got someone else, and we prayed for his child. I don't remember the details now but he took his child to a room with some other people and began to pray for him. This lasted awhile and then he took him home and laid him on the bed and him and a group of students prayed for his child for two days. After two days the leadership intervened and said it was time to stop. Also the law had been informed and a policeman came by, checked out the situation, and determined there was no wrong doing, and they went on with the funeral a few days later. This guy had another younger son and he's since been a missionary for several years in another country and his other son is in his teens and working with him.
But our leadership thought that after two days it was time to call it. Before that they weren't actively involved, more passive, except for one person. But anyway, that's how they handled it. I didn't personally involve myself, and not sure if I would now or not. But I had no problem with them doing it. But at the same time, at least back then I could see how some negative ramification could come from it possibly legally, because they kept him at home. I guess it's not a big a deal legally from the morgue.

And that's how many will always see it regardless. This isn't just this incident. Many will find any reason to mock.

We all know how the world mocks and we disagree with them
But even as a christian my thought is...why are funds needed if they really believe for a resurrection
I can understand hospital fees if the person was sick or ongoing medical costs but are morgue costs expensive

That could be a contradiction of faith, I'll give you that. Many times when believing God I think we contradict our faith at times. But I don't know what the fund is supposed to be for. But it's entirely innocent I believe, not a money grab.

I agree I don't believe its a money grab ....from what I have read someone else started it for them but it does seem contradictory to faith

Here is a post from a friend of ours that she posted on FB who attends Redding. This is her perspective:
Losing a child is NEVER easy. We have one baby as well in heaven. I'm here in this environment now and I'm, honored to stand with this family. The church leadership went to the parents of Olive (nothing was forced) and asked them, " What do you want to do?" Their response was, "WE WANT TO FIGHT!" So everyone has gathered around them and we are contending in prayer. Nothing is being forced . . . . it is BEAUTIFUL to be in the midst of it all. We are standing and simply letting what God demonstrated in the Bible be our standard. There literally has been 24hrs of prayer daily with standing room only on multiple campuses. God ultimately will have His way! Keep praying for baby Olive! Pray for Kelly and Andrew (Here parents) as well.

How do you know how long they had been dead ? They could have been the most recently departed followers of Jesus.
