They can extract DNA from bones or fragments of bones and then compare to modern humans. The DNA may be incomplete and so forth but the size of the bone or fragment doesn't matter, the DNA would be the same throughout the entire skeleton and the rest of the body too. It used to be that they could only study the bones themselves but that is a long time ago.

Well the nephilim are mentioned in the Bible but we don't really know exactly when, how many, what range of sizes they came in and so forth. So anything seemingly alien could be a contender for being a nephilim. Including Neanderthals, maybe some of them were larger than what scientists have found, originally.

There is no credible evidence of Neanderthal DNA only make believe assumptions

You mean that they never extracted DNA from bones and never studied the genes found in the DNA samples ?

If they did interbreed with homo sapiens then that can be seen as an indication that they should be seen as human.

Can you find credible evidence of this DNA?

Institute for Creation Research argues that Neanderthals were human beings based on various criteria including that they played musical instruments. A Christian definition for a human being would be someone created in the image of God, meaning that he is capable of communing with God. Who was and who wasn't a human being according to that definition is of course impossible to prove.
