But, now, look, I've worn corrective lenses since 3rd grade and no one ever grabs me and prays for my eyesight.
So I'm puzzling this through - why now, that I've decided to correct my hearing loss am I the target of well-meaning prayers. What if I had not corrected my eyesight with glasses/contacts, and suddenly gotten glasses? Why the double standard???
Also, I've known (and ignored) this hearing problem for at least 10 years. I've never gone up for prayer regarding hearing loss because I haven't had a true measure of how bad it really was.
So, why do we typically pray for hearing and not for eye sight correction?
