Do We Have Modern Day Scrooges Among Us?

Was giving thought to this earlier. Before internet forums I never had a clue some were so against celebrating Christmas. As for me, we celebrate the Virgin Birth of our Savior on Christmas. It's a great day to bring people to awareness of the Prince of Peace.

I love celebrating Jesus. I really do.

I still remember the first Christmas after I made Jesus Lord of my life!

The carols came alive and the presence of God transformed everything.

I already disliked the commercialism and over the years, it's gotten so out of hand.

And then the people who wanted Christmas but didn't want Christ ... and they started to make it political.

    Happy Holidays... blah blah blah.

Don't even get me started on the modern day Santa...

    Sigh.

Oh me too. I can vividly recall that first Christmas. Everything so new and so real. What a contrast to compare life with the dead.

I have a few friends who are death against Christmas and celebrating holidays. I think it's silly. Maybe I shouldn't say this but sometimes I get the impression they want to be super holy. We had a friend that wouldn't let his family wear the color red in December because it was being like the world

Many years ago at my former church we would have a Christmas concert and I would preach and people would respond to the altar call and accept Christ.
One year afterwards I got dressed up in a Santa outfit for the kids

I became all things to all people

I wouldn't do it now because .........I may not fit the Santa outfit

That's getting pretty bad when you're too fat to play Santa...since he IS fat.

I don't like what the world has done to Christmas as far as commercialization. The real Christmas I love.
