You don't look like you wouldn't fit into a Santa outfit, true. I'm not sure how much your bulging chest and biceps would stretch the outfit but your pitiful excuse for a belly (much like mine) would at least not do it any harm.

    Yep!

They've made Thanksgiving all about Turkey and Pre-Black Friday Shopping

And Christmas is all about Shopping and Gift-Giving, and not about acknowledging and celebrating our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Call me Scrooge, but I'll just be glad when it's all over - Can't wait for New Year's Eve.

Amen! I noticed Google's Thanksgiving drawing was mice serving cheese. Nothing about to indicate what the holiday represents.

I figure everyone will do Christmas the way that's important to them.

I went through a phase when I was death on Santa, seriously, he was pretty much banned from all Christmas in our house.

now I'm just 'eh about him. When I looked back at the history I was able to mellow a bit. At the same time, to keep perspective I always told my daughter he was "play pretend" so there was no conflict with the "this is true" part about Jesus.

I, too, enjoy Christmas, the Christian perspective. I love the music mostly.

I have preached on "Santa Clause, the Myth and the Truth". Saint Nick was quite a good example as a Christian!

I challenge anyone here to work in retail several Christmas seasons with 8+ hours a day of background Christmas music (Burl Ives' "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas") and not come out unscathed.
